Paul McCartney Net Worth: Former Beatles Member Buys a $15.5M Penthouse in Fifth Avenue New York

Music icon and former Beatles member Paul McCartney and beautiful wife Nancy Shevell, with whom he had been married since 2011, would definitely feel at home in their new $15.5 million-worth penthouse located in New York's Fifth Avenue. The luxurious property was once described as a "glamorous 1960's time capsule with a dash of Hollywood," according to irishexaminer.com.

"The penthouse is to be found on the 15th and 16th floors, with an extra room on the 17th floor at 1045 Fifth Avenue New York City. Each floor of the apartment boasts 40 feet of floor-to-ceiling windows with a veranda of glass openly overlooking Central Park", 6sqft.com notes.

Open and liberal inner spaces show off a living room and library facing the park on the first floor, as well as a master suite and a master sitting room with the same view at the second floor.

The exterior has a modern styling mid-century ambience, and there are only 12 residents, making the pad perfect for celebrities looking for privacy and seclusion.

According to AZ Central, the deluxe complex - which has a stunning view across Central Park - has never been put on the property market before. McCartney bought the penthouse from property developer Manny Duell because of its fascinating beauty, Duell no doubt is a high-class property developer. He used to buy rented buildings and sells them to unrelated residents.

Duell, who died in 1977, built the duplex for his beloved wife, Irene, who continued to live in the historical apartment until her death last summer of 2014 at the age of 92.

According to the New York Post newspaper, the co-op purchasers must register their own names as property owners, so the couple listed themselves as Paul and Nancy McCartney, Irishexaminer.com reported.
