On Tuesday, game developer Ubisoft announced that it will release later this year an art book and a novel for "Assassin's Creed" titles. The "Assassin's Creed: Underworld" novel is slated to be released on December 1 in the U.S. and November 5 in the UK, a report from IGN said.
"The Assassin's Creed: Underworld" novel will be published by Penguin Random House. It was written by Oliver Bowden and is the eighth novel of the "Assassin's Creed" universe, which explores the conflict between the Assassins and Templars in the same location, specifically in London circa 1862, according to IGN.
The "Assassin's Creed: Underworld" novel is the sequel of the story of another assassin character named Henry Green, which is known as "The Ghost" and mentor of the twin protagonists, Jacob and Evie Frye, in the "Assassin's Creed Syndicate" game.
Meanwhile, a 192-page art book titled "The Art of Assassin's Creed Syndicate" will be released after the game launches on October 23. The art book, according to IGN, will feature hundreds of "unreleased" concept art of the game and will include a page with commentaries from selected artists and developers. The said art book is set to release a "special slipcase edition" with a target of 500 copies during its public debut, including the signed concept art prints of the "Assassin's Creed Syndicate" game.
In related news, Otakustudy reported that aside from novel and art book, additional collectible items such as replicas of weapon, character figurines and other collectible goodies will be for sale after the game's launch on October 23. The company has also announced that it will release two figurines of Jacob Frye and Evie Frye on October 2015, along with the two weapon replicas of Jason.
The "Assassin's Creed Syndicate" will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Details of the "Assassin's Creed Syndicate" game will be revealed next week as Ubisoft is set to join the E3 event in Los Angeles on June 16 to 18..
