'Jurassic World' Review: Not Much Appeal According To Critics

After its big premiere at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on June 9, 'Jurassic World' did not seem to pull the upbeat review of many critiques.

Save for standing on its own feet, the initial review from Forbes described the film as not so awesome (not so dino-mite), despite the introduction of new species of dinosaurs which is supposed to be the new attraction of the themed park or the new film for that matter. The review further added that the screenplay was in itself so heavy that it tends to get in the way with the main event.

The general lost of interest on dinosaurs can generally be attributed to viewer burnout so to speak. The public may have become so used to dinosaurs, which has become ubiquitous in movies, TV, the Internet and even in real life themed parks and resorts.

In a not so unsympathetic review from AV Club, the new Jurassic movie accordingly featured smarter dinosaurs, who like tamed dogs can take commands from dino-whisperers, the dino version of a dog whisperer. Meanwhile, the main protagonist enter Owen Grady, played by Chris Pratt also tend to be an evolution as well of the previous characters of the original movie - a hybrid of the philosophical womanizer and chaos theorist, Dr. Ian Malcolm played by Jeff Goldblum and expert palaeontologist ala Indiana Jones, Dr. Alan Grant, as played by Sam Neill.

Finally, in a rather considerate yet critical review from the Business Insider, the 'Jurassic World' has accordingly failed to assimilate the latest discoveries that scientists made about dinosaurs, which could have otherwise make the giant creatures more realistic at least according to scienties. The popular flesh-eating carnivore called the T-rex is supposed to have feathers and bird-like feet as described by paleontologists from the American Museum of Natural History. In another instance, the Microraptors that were featured in the movie actually looked like birds.

In spite of these not-so excellent reviews, the "Jurassic World" will prove to be a great movie because it is times two the excitement, the thrill, and animation effects of the previous films.
