'Game of Thrones' Season 5 Finale Spoilers: The Twists and Turns Surrounding Cersei, Jon Snow, Sansa, Daenerys, Arya & Ser Meryn Trant

After nine long weeks of 'Game of Thrones' Season 5, the season finale is fast approaching with many twists and turns, especially surrounding Cersei, Jon Snow, Sansa, Daenerys, Arya, and Ser Meryn Trant. Spoilers are about to be revealed following HBO's release of a season-ender preview.

As we all have witnessed during the whole season, Cersei was one manipulative queen who caused many turmoil in the series. However, for the season finale, we will witness Cersei being compelled to do the 'Walk of Atonement' as punishment for her crimes against the church on the 'Mother's Mercy' episode, notes VF Hollywood.

In the previous episode entitled 'The Dance of Dragons,' the High Sparrow gave Cersei a chance to redeem herself if she were to admit her crimes and be shown 'The Mother's Mercy.' Though it sounds quite considerate, the penalty for her admittance is downright humiliating. Therefore, we will see Cersei humbled and teary as she walks naked from Great Sept of Baelor to Red Keep, stripped of her hair and bloody. This scene is actually the highlight of the season's end.

For Daenerys, we will witness less of her during the episode but more of her advisors figuring out a way to deal with numerous threats of civil war against Meereen and that of the Sons of the Harpy who remains a nuisance for the Mother of Dragons. Fans have anticipated that she would arrive at an unknown location by the outskirts of Drogon as a highlight for the first episode of 'Game of Thrones' Season 6, reports International Business Times.

For Jon Snow's part, we are to expect that he is struggling to find ways on how to deal with so many people to attend to. The season finale is expected to cater more of Castle Black as it is astounded with Wildlings, like that of Night's Watch. Furthermore, Ser Davos will also be seen acquiring supplies for the townsfolk, an anticipated challenge for the character as winter is already coming.

For Sansa, there are no clear implications shown in the HBO preview as to whether she will be able to escape prison during 'Mother's Mercy.' However, if we backtrack through the previous episodes, we can verify that she has been anticipated by Podrick and Brienne at Winterfell, which could indicate that they would be the ones to help her escape.

Lastly, for Arya, we have seen that she has been dreading to put an end to Ser Meryn Trant's life. Therefore, we might see the fall of Trent due to Arya's own doing, implicating that she, in fact, is still someone of significance in the series' plot. However, for those who have read the books, we might see a blind Arya as Jagen might rob her of her eyesight.

As many twists and turns await come the finale of 'Game of Thrones' Season 5 entitled 'Mother's Mercy,' we will see many changes such as a humbled Cersei, a consistently good leader Jon Snow, and many other controversies that will surely suggest an exciting introduction to 'Game of Thrones' Season 6.
