'A Deadly Adoption' Trailer: Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig Shock in New Teaser

After months of controversy, the first teaser for the Lifetime movie, "A Deadly Adoption," has finally arrived. The new project, which stars Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig, apparently was surrounded with controversy after it was reported that Ferrell was unhappy about the news leak of the project last April.

According to Business Insider, Ferrell wanted to keep the project a secret and said that they had to stop filming the project because of the news leak. However, it was reported just recently that the movie is still on and it has already finished shooting.

Earlier this month a billboard for the movie was put up in Los Angeles, proving that the movie was still in the works. Lifetime was reportedly going forward to make it a part of their 25th anniversary celebration of airing TV movies this summer.

This week, a trailer for the controversial film was just released. According to reports, the video was only just about 20 seconds long but it was enough for the actors to excite the fans.

Ferrell is also the executive producer of the film. Wiig will play the role of his wife and they will take care of a pregnant woman played by "90210" star Jessica Lowndes.

According to Cinemablend, the film was inspired by a true story. The plot involves the married couple's goal to adopt the pregnant woman's child after it has been born. However, everything won't go smoothly. Based on the trailer, the movie may have some action scenes to look forward to. Wiig and Ferrell shocked the audience with some of the scenes in the trailer like the one with them being covered in blood.

"A Deadly Adoption" will premiere on Saturday, June 20.
