‘Wolverine’ Sequel Update: Release Date Leaked; Will This Be the Last Time We’ll Be Seeing Wolverine? Hugh Jackman Confirms Rumors

There have been rumors roaming around the movie industry about the famous X-men character 'Wolverine.' And recently, Hugh Jackman, the only actor who portrayed the role of 'Wolverine' in seven films, addressed these rumors, confirming that the upcoming 'Wolverine' sequel will be his last time playing the iconic character.

"Weirdly, I'm really excited about shooting it. I feel great enthusiasm, I suppose its denial - like the football player who announces their retirement before their last season - and so I'm really looking forward to it. But I know it's not over yet! I still got a lot of 4 o'clock mornings and a hell of a lot of egg white omelettes and steamed chicken to have, and all of that," says Jackmans (quoted by comicbookresources.com).

Jerry Seinfeld advised Jackman to "end on a high" while referencing his own decision to end his successful sitcom Seinfeld. This means that Jackman must give his best on his last final casting for the audience to remember that he has made the character 'Wolverine' one of the most famous characters ever made on the big screen.

According to screencrush.com, Jackman will be playing his last 'Wolverine' character in 'The Wolverine 2' movie, which will mark as the eighth of his appearance as such. The movie does not have a title yet, but it is said to be released on March 3, 2017, according to a report on stack.com. Rumor has it that if he comes back as 'Wolverine' in 'Deadpool' and 'X-Men: Apocalypse,' it would be his ninth and tenth, respectively.

Hugh Jackman played his first 'Wolverine' mutant character in 2000, and since then he became the icon for the role. He continued to play the character and was never replaced in the seven X-men films.

As Wolverine, Jackman has done a really great job and gave justice to this iconic character. It will be a great challenge for the next 'Wolverine' actor to be on par with Jackman.
