Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker and husband Broadway star Matthew Broderick Parker have finally found a buyer for their Greenwich Village townhouse. Though the elegant and luxurious home was already out in the market almost three years ago, they slashed the price numerous times until they found a buyer for their property.
Jessica personally purchased the townhouse for $18.995M in 2011. Her husband and their three children did a complete renovation, which made the actress feel bad about selling it down for $19.95 million.
According to The Real Deal's report, Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes of Douglas Elliman were the listing brokers, having taken over the listing in December and chopped the ask from $22 million. When it first hit the market, in 2012, a Sotheby's team listed it for $25 million.
In true Carrie Bradshaw fashion, the full-floor master suite is complete with two walk-in closets ideal for storing dream-worthy items of Louboutins and Manolos collection. The magnificent townhouse also has a landscaped garden and seven fireplaces, in addition to the hardly standard NYC stats of elegantly styled five bedrooms and seven bathrooms perfect for privacy purposes, elledecor.com reported.
According to New York Daily News, Jessica's property at the E. 10th St. has 12-foot ceilings, five spacious bedrooms, a state-of-the-art security system, a walnut eat-in kitchen, a private terrace, and a south-facing, split-level garden.
The Greek Revival Style, measuring 6,800 square feet, 25 feet wide, with a marble fireplace and an entire three-bedroom guest floor, has been finally sold after two and a half years in the market. Although they renovated the property, the Parker family has never lived there.
Despite being famous personalities, the celebrity couple obviously had a hard time selling their million-dollar-worth property. This means people should do a lot of thinking before owning a million-dollar worth of things, especially if there are plans to resell them eventually.
