Holly Madison Memoir: Former Playboy Bunny Reveals Ex-BF Hugh Hefner Was a 'Manipulator' and Offered Her Drugs

It seems that life in the mansion isn't as glamorous as it looks.

Former Playboy Bunny Holly Madison tells all on her memoir, 'Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny.' In the memoir, 35-year-old Madison reveals how she was emotionally and verbally abused by former boyfriend and Playboy founder Hugh Hefner.

Holly Madison recounts the first time she met Hefner, now 89, in August 2001. During one of her first encounters with Hefner in a Los Angeles night club, Madison claims that the Playboy tycoon offered her drugs, reports E! Online. Back in the time, Madison was a struggling actress and a waitress at Hooters.

"'Would you like a Quaalude?' Hef asked, leaning toward me with a bunch of large horse pills in his hands, held together by a crumpled tissue," Madison wrote in her memoir (excerpted by US Weekly).

After she declined the drugs, "Hef did not miss a beat: 'Okay, that's good,' he said, nonchalantly. 'Usually, I don't approve of drugs, but you know, in the '70s they used to call these pills thigh openers,'" quotes US Weekly. Holly ended up spending the night at the Playboy mansion.

Weeks after the incident, Madison moved in the Playboy Mansion and learned of the movements happening inside the famous Hollywood house.

"I learned Hef was the manipulator and that he pitted us against one another," she noted. "I realized I wasn't treated well," Madison declares in her memoir. Political alliances were made by the girls inside the house; Hefner made the girls inside the mansion compete with each other by selecting the youngest one in the bunch as his main girlfriend, reports E! Online. Hefner also wanted his girls looking "uniform with long, white hair" and slammed Madison when she decided to try on a different hair and makeup.

Ultimately, Madison reveals that Hefner bribed her with $3 million dollars just to make her stay. According to US Weekly, Hefner wanted to include Madison in his will and would leave her the said amount provided she is still a resident of the mansion once the will takes effect. It however didn't change Madison's mind, and she finally left the mansion.

Happily married to Pasquale Rotella since 2013, Madison wants her 2-year-old daughter, Rainbow, to read her book one day, according to US Weekly. "I want her to understand why I made the choices I made," Madison told Us. "And hopefully learn from them and not make stupid mistakes herself."
