The lodge remodeled by "Die Hard" star Bruce Willis located in Hailey, Idaho was first priced in the market at $15 million. Now, according to a recent report from realtor.com, the sale price of the property has been slashed more than half and is available at $7,050,000. The listing agent of the Idaho mansion is Sun Valley Sotheby International Realty's Janine Bear.
The lodge was redone by the actor back in 2003 to create a rustic, hunting lodge setting featuring a log and stone facade as well as shingled roof. The entrance is a massive set of ornately carved double doors, allowing for a large mass of people to enter all at once. The living room is sunken, with wooden pillars, and is flanked by cathedral-style floor-to-ceiling windows. The center is a large rock fireplace and is surrounded by built-in bookshelves.
The kitchen has cabinets made of dark wood and also features steel gray countertops. The hardware in the kitchen is of wrought iron, further enhancing the cabin feel of the home. The appliances though are state-of the-art, with two Sub-Zero refrigerators, Viking six burner stove and double ovens as well as two dishwashers.
The property is located in front of a lake and the centerpiece is the 2,200-square-foot master suite and its massive bathroom. Another amenity is the heated pavers, decks and driveway, saving the owners the time and effort to shovel the Idaho snow from the area.
According to a report from zillow.com, the 20-acre estate has six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Willis used to own a bar in Sun Valley called The Mint as well as the Soldier Mountain Ski Area hotspot.
