Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Dave Grohl was seen on crutches in London after a horrific accident in a Foo Fighters concert in Sweden on June 14, Dailymail reported. Grohl had his right leg in a cast and hobbled along on crutches and is seen in terrible pain as he walks towards his car. The Foo Fighters vocalist was lauded by fans for his actions during the event - he went on to finish the set while sitting down and nursing his broken right leg.
After falling from the stage, Grohl was medically attended quickly and was ushered off the stage to have his leg treated. Before he was ushered away from the stage, he took the mic and addressed the crowd saying that he will be back and he will play for the audience again in which the huge crowd erupted in cheers.
While the former Nirvana drummer is being attended to, the band went on to play covered songs which were sung by Foo Fighter's drummer, Taylor Hawkins. After a couple of songs, Grohl returned in crutches, and again told the crowd that he may not be able to walk and run but still can play the guitar. The band finished the set while he was sitting down.
The Verge confirmed that Grohl suffered a broken bone in his right foot and went to the hospital immediately after the set. Although it might seem easy for anyone to just sit down and play the guitar and scream and sing while nursing a bruised leg, the legendary musician went on to play for another 2 hours, while in pain, before finally getting proper medications from the hospital.
Due to the injury, Foo Fighters were forced to cancel their June Pinkopop Festival gig in St. Gallen, Switzerland and another gig on June 16th.
Singer Enrique Iglesias has recently overcome a similar situation when he got cut by a drone while in concert.
