Floyd Mayweather Net Worth: 'Pretty Boy' Named World's Highest Paid Athlete by Forbes

Floyd Mayweather is worth $300 million and counting.

No doubt Floyd Mayweather has reached the top spot in Forbes' list of highest paid athletes of 2015 after earning $100m and more in his fight night with Manny Pacquiao.

"Even from day one when I was with Bob Arum, I said I wanted to work extremely hard to get to a certain point in my career, which is to get to a point to be the first fighter to ever make nine figures in one night," Mayweather said, ahead of his May 2 fight with Manny Pacquiao, reports Forbes. That statement sort of became a predication.

According to Forbes, the 38-year-old boxer had earned cumulatively $420m entering 2015. In midyear, the highly anticipated 'Fight of the Century' had Mayweather's bank account dancing with over $4.4 million and rising worth of pay-per-view, total gate worth of $73 million, and sponsorships pricing $13 million. Once everything has been counted, the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight shall have an expected gross of $600 million, reports Forbes. Fighters and their promotion companies will share roughly $400 million. Mayweather is owed a 60% cut. Earnings are calculated from June 2014 to June 2015. The Money Team will be accumulating $285 million over the last twelve months, taking into consideration Mayweather's fight with Marcos Maidana in September, says The Guardian. The six-year awaited fight earned Manny Pacquiao $160 million, making him Forbes second highest paid athlete, according to BBC.

The Pacquiao fight is Mayweather's fifth fight from his Showtime contract signed in 2013 with a six-fight deal spanning 30 months. Forbes reports that Floyd Mayweather enjoys a run in the top spot of the list for the third time beating Tiger Woods, who earned $115 million in 2008. Mayweather, undefeated with a record of 48-0, plans to fight in September and finally retire.

Another jab of achievement of the 'Money.' Any bets on how he spends them?
