"Nashville" star Laura Benanti, who plays the role of Sadie Stone, recently teased her character's fate in the upcoming season. In Season 3, Sadie killed her ex-husband Pete and then left Nashville for Virginia. At that time, Luke took the fall for her. Now fans are wondering whether or not Sadie's departure also meant Benanti's exit from the series.
The actress recently opened up to TV Line and said that she's unsure of her character's future. According to her, she's not certain whether or not Sadie will return, and, if she will, when exactly in Season 4 will she be back.
Meanwhile, the actress also talked about her onscreen chemistry with Luke and teased that there's a chance they could finally be an item in the upcoming episodes if she were to return as Sadie.
"I appreciated that the writers had us have this connection but not act on it. Sadie chose to get her life together and honor her friendship with Rayna by not getting together with her ex. Who knows what will happen down the road?" she said.
The actress added that if she were to return to "Nashville," she is sure it would have something to do with Luke. "I don't really know anything. But I know if I did, I'm sure it would be in a capacity with Luke," she said.
In other news, Benanti is also currently involved in some other projects at present. Just recently, she has booked a role in the new CBS series "Super Girl." The actress also recently got engaged to boyfriend Patrick Brown, Fashion N Style reported.
Benanti confirmed their engagement via a post on Instagram. In the photo, Benanti and Brown were photographed showing off the former's ring. "And think not you can direct the course of love, for love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course. - Kahlil Gibran," she captioned the photo.
