Xbox One ‘Dark Souls 3’ Release Date, Trailer, Game Details: Officially Announced at Microsoft E3 2015, Last in the Series

From renowned publisher, Bandai Namco, Dark Souls 3 has been officially unveiled at the Microsoft E3 Xbox Conference. This third entry of the popular action-RPG franchise is slated to be released early 2016 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Fans sure can't wait to get hands of this baby.

At E3 2015, Dark Souls 3 trailer unfolded a character dragging a lifeless body past a bonfire and the words, "Now only embers remain..." appeared. We are taken to a scene where people with sticks are seen walking on a barren wasteland where a ruined castle loomed ahead. As reported, this was the ruined Drangleic, an area from Dark Souls 2.

The climax at the end of the trailer revealed a giant who appeared to look like he was injured or killed. He had a crown so this would most likely be the Giant Lord from Dark Souls 2. He screamed and his body began to light up with fire... Now if that doesn't get all the fans pretty hyped, I don't know what will.

Don't get your hopes too high though expecting more from the Dark Souls series since Bandai Namco just stated in a European press release that this is going to be the last of the franchise. "We are blessed to have such a supportive and loving community, and we are happy to dedicate this final episode to them!"

Brooding, dark, and action-packed, Dark Souls 3 will take players on an unforgettable fantasy adventure in a twisted world full of traps, horrifying beasts, and hidden secrets. As a conclusion of the trilogy, players will be taken back into the phantasmal landscapes and hard-hitting challenges in order to survive the coming apocalypse.
