Microsoft's Xbox One will be facing a major lift and will be more than just a console game behind the television set in the living room. According to CNet, Microsoft has confirmed during the Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 that it will be rolling out a vast selection of games that that will be playable to Microsoft's Windows 10 platform driven personal computers (PC) and tablets as well for Xbox One which will have a system's update later this year.
Microsoft also confirmed that the games that will be rolled out can be purchased, downloaded for free, and can be played online with friends or gamers alike. In addition, Microsoft will also release a controller this Fall that will allow gamers to play Xbox games in the PC through streaming, another feature that is a Microsoft and industry first. The controller will also address the hardcore gamer's issue with the mouse and keyboards. The controller will feature extra buttons and swappable components.
Another exciting bit of the news is that once Xbox One is updated, it can finally play Xbox 360 games. This backward compatability feature is expected to increase Microsoft's sales dramatically.
Yahoo also cited that Microsoft touted exclusive blockbuster content such as Halo 5 Guardians.
Since the release of PlayStation 4, Xbox has felt its presence and made the decision to cut down the game console's price to compete with Sony's PlayStation 4.
