Mark Ruffalo hinted in a recent interview that he may possibly appear in the upcoming Marvel movie, "Captain America: Civil War." Ruffalo, who played the Hulk in the "Avengers" franchise, revealed that co-star Robert Downey Jr., invited him to the set of the "Captain America" sequel.
Apparently, both actors heard the rumors that Ruffalo will be joining the cast. According to VCPost.com, the actors were talking one day and Downey said, "Ruffalo! I heard you're coming out here," and Ruffalo responded by saying, "OK! I'll be there."
Ruffalo responded to the speculations and said in a recent interview with The Daily Beast that he does not have any idea if he is going to be part of the highly anticipated film. "I haven't seen a script, nobody's told me, and I don't have dates," he said. He also added that he can only hope to join the star-studded cast for the sequel.
According to International Business Times, the said movie will feature some of its usual cast members like Chris Evans, Scarlet Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Paul Bettany, Chadwick Voseman, Elizabeth Olsen, Emily VanCamp, Frank Grillo, Don Cheadle and Daniel Bruhl. It was also revealed earlier that William Hurt and Martin Freeman were confirmed as part of the cast, but their roles were not disclosed yet.
"Captain America: Civil War" is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and produced by Kevin Feige. It is being shot in various countries like metro Atlanta, Puerto Rico and Iceland. The movie is reportedly set after the events in "Avengers: Age of Ultron." There is a new governing body formed, which led to the formation of two Avengers groups who will need to fight a new enemy.
The anticipated movie is set to be released on May 6, 2016 and Ruffalo is set to come back as the Hulk in the next Avenger movie, "Avengers 3: Infinity War," which is set to be released in 2018.
