Everybody loves a good old kind hearted person, but what if that person is a Hall of Fame inductee and David Letterman's favorite musician who will go above and beyond to make every fan's concert experience worth it, up to singing while in agonizing pain. CNN made an article on why Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl is legendary in his own way. The news authority cited first that Grohl is not afraid to admit that he is a big Taylor Swift fan. Back in May, while performing with his band at Radio 1 Big Weekend in the United Kingdom, Grohl said that he is officially obsessed and the Blank Space hitmaker should get a restraining order against him.
The former Nirvana drummer is also known to be a great tipper, as he was reported to dish out a total of $2,000 at the Smith and Wollensky bar in Philadelphia back in 2012. Unlike other celebrities who need Twitter to reach out to their fans and hopefully extend their fan base, Grohl doesn’t even need Twitter to be famous. There was an unverified Twitter account that holds his name in 2009 and so far has 386,000 followers. The suspicion grew that it might be his when he twitted a fan to know or have met him through a friend. He said “I’m sorry, I don’t think I remember you. It’s always nice meeting my fans, though.” The lead vocalist is also a director. Grohl called the shots in HBO’s Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways.
He also doesn’t give a dime on Starbucks’ weird sizes names. He still calls it small, medium, and large.
He always take care of his fans. There were numerous occasions where Grohl was seen in a video helping a young fan and his dad to get up on the stage because the crowd is crushing the young boy. There was another video where he threw out an unruly fan while in the middle of a Foo Fighter song.
Maybe the last and probably one of the biggest reasons why Grohl is such a cool dude is when he lined up and went right in the middle of the moshpit of a Soundgarden reunion concert. Can you imagine a rockstar willing to wait in queue and get all sweaty to attend a gig?
Recently, Realtytoday reported that Grohl was seen in crutches and his right leg in cast in London after an accident in Sweden. Grohl fell from the stage and broke his leg but opted to perform despite his broken leg.
