Indians Pitcher Carlos Carrasco Pitches Sale of Old Florida Mansion

Cleveland Indians Pitcher Carlos Carrasco recently signed a $22 million contract with the team. Soon thereafter, according to a report from realtor.com, he decided to put his home in Florida in the market.

The home measures 3,365 square feet, with six bedrooms and a garage for two cars. Located on Tarpon Springs, Florida, the home is now listed for $479,900. The house features a newly renovated gourmet kitchen with double wall ovens, a breakfast bar, granite countertops and a built-in desk. There is also a wine fridge, stainless appliances and an airconditioning system throughout the entire house. The home also has marble and wood flooring as well as a newly installed roof.

The second floor has four bedrooms and two bathrooms, while the master's suite has a walk-in closet. There is also a separate apartment for an individual guest or family member.

The exterior includes a screened-in swimming pool and an adjoining kitchen. There is outdoor seating near the pool with a wall-mounted television. The house was constructed in 1996 and the latest improvement is the high-impact windows installed in 2012.

The listing agent is Berkshire Hathaway's Maria Azuaje. According to records, the home was last sold for $290,000 in May 2011.

This 2015 is a year of ups and downs for the pitching ace, with a new baby born and issues with his health as well as the contract extension he signed. Just last April, Carrasco was hit on the jaw with a line drive from his pitch, which caused him a minor injury and required him to stay in the hospital.

According to a report from syracuse.com, the ball from Chicago White Sox outfielder Melky Cabrera's bat went straight to Carrasco's head after deflecting off his arm. He was brought to a hospital but was given a clean bill of health, except for the bump on his left cheek.
