Kesha Net Worth: 'Die Young' Singer Sells Simple Cottage

Venice, California is the location of the modest bungalow home now being put up for sale by pop singer Kesha. According to a report from la.curbed.com, the traditional-looking home is being sold after a year of ownership for $1.849 million. The home was originally purchased for $1.65 million.

The three-bedroom bungalow was reportedly never a fit for the singer, as it had white interiors and curved ceiling. It has French doors that open to the common areas to the backyard, which features vined trellises, an outdoor fireplace and a garage converted into a studio cum office. The master's suite has an opening to the backyard through double doors. As for the kitchen, the appliances include a Viking stove, stone countertops as well as white cabinets.

The home, as further described by the dailymail.co.uk, has an outdoor area that includes paved walkways and a spa enclosure. Built in 1926, the home is designed in the Spanish style.

With a net worth reported at $40 million by celebritynetworth.com, the singer-songwriter had recently come out in the open on her battle with her eating disorder. In a tell-all interview reported on rollingstone.com, she recounted, "That first day at the treatment center was the scariest of my life."

After staying six months in a Chicago rehabilitation center, Kesha reportedly resented the fact that the rehab was seen as a means to curb her party lifestyle, which she said, "My dirty little secret is that I'm actually incredibly responsible." She went on to say, "I felt like part of my job was to be as skinny as possible and, to make that happen, I had been abusing my body. I wasn't giving it the energy it needed to keep me healthy and strong."

As part of her renewed self, she had dropped the "$" from her name and chose to remain known simply as Kesha.
