A restaurant worker rapes, tortures, and kills his own mother while getting sexually excited after getting drunk and snorting cocaine.
In a report by Mirror, Alexander McDonald, 27 forced her mother, Catherine, 57 to have sexual intercourse and killed her before escaping the scene. Alexander, who is an only child, denies to the murder charges but admits to manslaughter.
According to the hearing at Exeter Crown Court, Alexander got drunk in a wine tasting session at work and snorted cocaine before going to his mother's home in Norton Fitzwarren, Somerset, England. Evidence showed that he attacked his mother while at sleep as she still wore earplugs when her body was discovered. He then used scissors to threaten his mother to submit to his sexual assault as DNA was found on the victim's body.
Catherine also suffered torture in the hands of her only son. Evidence showed that at least three weapons were used against her. A kitchen knife was stabbed twice in the victim's body, an electric power cable was found wrapped around her neck, and knitting needles were used to stab her in the neck as discovered by pathologist and forensic experts.
In a report by Crimefeed, Andrew attempted to quickly clean up the crime scene before escaping in his mother's car, taking her money and passport. But he crashed the car near Tiverton, Devon where he was arrested by police who eventually discovered his mother's murder.
Andrew was also clearly aware of his misconduct because he even texted his ex-girlfriend that he would soon be dead or in jail.
During the trial, Andrew appeared relaxed and gentle and even said he was shock when told about the rape of his mother.
As the trial continues, the prosecution press charges of murder against McDonald because his crime was acted purposefully and deliberately. Getting drunk or drugged does not necessarily eliminate the intent to kill.
