For Playstation 4 and Xbox One, "Assassin's Creed Syndicate" will be released on October 23 while the PC version will launch in Autumn, Ubisoft announced, according to Gameranx.
Ubisoft confirmed that the game will be single player -- no multiplayer modes -- and it will not have a companion app at launch, unlike the previous games of "Assassin's Creed" such as Black Flag and Unity.
Marc Alexis Cote, the game's creative director, shared to Gameranx that the title is set in 1868 during the Industrial Revolution. Cote also described the era as a "pivotal moment in humanity's history," which enabled the developer "to create the first modern Assassin's Creed game."
The game also follows the twins Jacob and Evie Frye as they build a crime empire in Victorian London. Most of the game sees players fill Jacob's shoes but they can also play both characters.
Assassin's Creed UK released a cinematic trailer about breaking the Templars' corrupt stranglehold on London by the Great Britain's fiercest gang with Jacob Frye as their leader. Also, Assassin's Creed UK released another cinematic trailer that focuses on Evie Frye, who has reportedly perfected the "silent, swift and stealthy strike."
Gamezone revealed some new features of the game. Aside from the setting, Syndicate will reportedly feature new fighting mechanisms, two distinct characters and driveable carriages. Gamerant also said that there will be a rope launcher, better use of the environment and carriage hijacking.
Ubisoft admitted that "Assassin's Creed Unity" suffered from some major glitches and bugs, as mentioned in Gameranx. This time, Syndicate is coming from Ubisoft Quebec rather than Ubisoft Montreal.
In addition, four collector's edition have been revealed after each cinematic trailer. Syndicate's box art is also featured. The game reportedly looks a bit like "Red Dead Redemption" when it comes to horse racing around the city and has a definite "Dishonored" steampunk tinge about it.
