NBA basketball star Rudy Gay is selling his Memphis home for $2.2 million. According to Virtual Globe Trotting, the Sacramento Kings' forward purchased the home in 2010 for $1.176 million. After the purchase of the place, the 8,373-square-foot mansion has undergone some serious renovations.
According to the Realtor, the home has a sunroom with tin-style ceiling accentuated with crystal chandelier and marble as well as chevron design flooring. During the cold season, the living area will keep people warm with its double-sided reflective fireplace. The living area features huge windows, wooden floors and is decorated with metalwork trim and a candle chandelier. The living room shares an open floor plan with the kitchen where various stainless steel appliances can be found. The kitchen is also framed by a black and white backsplash and also two drum chandeliers.
Chandeliers seem to be everywhere in the house as it was reported that there are even chandeliers in the bathrooms. The master's bathroom is decorated with a trio of silver antique mirrors mounted against a mosaic backdrop. It also has a double-size walk-in marble shower and a modern-style bathtub located in the center. The home also features a media room with a projection-style screen.
According to Celebrities Money, Gay's annual salary is estimated to be $19 million. Before he turned to playing pro-basketball in the NBA, he played college basketball at the University of Connecticut. He began his NBA career in 2006 with the Memphis Grizzlies. He then signed a $53 million contract with the Sacramento Kings from 2011 to 2015. The strongest point of his career was during NBA season 2014-2015, where he averaged a career high of 21 points per game. He was then rewarded with a three-year contract extension worth $40 million.
