OnePlus 2 Specs, Release & Price: Device to be Launched in July?

Rumor has it that OnePlus 2 will finally be revealed this July, a report from NDTV stated earlier this week. The OnePlus 2 will reportedly be more expensive than the company's present flagship smartphone. The price of the OnePlus 2 is estimated to be around $300, as hinted earlier by Liu Zuohu, OnePlus 2 CEO.

According to the same report, OnePlus 2 will be powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop, ensuring mobile users receive timely updates from Google. The said smartphone will also have a 13-megapixel rear camera, a departure from the earlier rumored 16 MP. The device will sport a 3300 mAH battery. Like other smartphones, OnePlus 2 is WiFi- and Bluetooth-ready and will have a micro-USB with an OTG connectivity.

OnePlus 2, according to Techradar, will have a Snapdragon 810 chip with a 3GB RAM that is at par with other flagship rivals today. The Snapdragon 810 processor is the same processor that powers OnePlus 2 rivals such as the HTC One M9 and LG G Flex 2. Having this chip, the OnePlus 2 smartphone will have the same power, speed and unmatched performance that provides users a unique mobile experience. The report also indicated that OnePlus 2 will probably have a metal build. The device will reportedly feature a "laser focus fingerprint identification system" that will be embedded to the smartphone's home button.

However, not everyone will be able to take a peek of OnePlus 2 once it hits retail stores in July 2015. This is because the company claimed earlier this summer that it will implement an "invite-to-buy" scheme for the OnePlus 2 smartphone once it is available. On the other hand, a report from Technologytell says that the invite-based launch will be gradually implemented throug the end of the year.
