After Game of Thrones shocking season 5 finale, fans can't wait for the next season to come and as early as now, spoilers and speculations were thrown out just to show how Game of Thrones has changed the landscape of television programing since it debuted its first season in 2011. Until the next season of the blockbuster hit, speculations are everywhere and here are the following.
According to Hollywood Reporter, the characters who will possibly compete for the throne are the Boltons and the Tyrells for now. The Boltons are up there since they have defeated the possible next person to sit on the throne, Stannis. The Tyrells are also in the run for the throne because of their wealth and alliance and cunning strategies and betrayals.
Also, it is hard to disregard what happened to Jon on the season finale. Although it is unconfirmed if Jon is really dead, but for now it looks like it. Having said that, who will oversee the Night's Watch? The closest is maybe Sam, who knows.
Sansa and Theon is another good storyline to look at. At this point, it is very hard to look at what the TV series will give them. However, if we are to base the storyline from the novel, it is clear that the duo is heading towards the wall, unless they move to travel to Theon's hometown. But since Sansa knows that her brothers are alive, she might trick Theon to go to The Wall instead.
Daenerys is captured and is definitely stalled in her pursuit to reclaim the throne (that's why she was disregarded on the list of names who has a run for the throne), but the biggest question is who will rescue her? It can be Jorah or Daario with the help of her remaining dragons of course.
Arya on the other hand turns blind and what could she possibly do, perhaps develop self-pity like mental illness and eventually succumb to it by turning mad or be dead due to starvation or self-inflicted injuries or she can resume her training with the faceless men and become a blind warrior.
Vanity Fair also projected some spoilers and projections such as Cersei's walk of shame and Bran's interesting storyline with her other siblings and the Children of the Forest.
