"Jurassic World" was recently dubbed as one of the highest grossing and most successful films of all time. Now there are reports that lead star Chris Pratt has already been tapped to reprise his role in the upcoming sequels.
According to the Associated Press, the success of "Jurassic World" came as a huge surprise especially since the film did not really receive good reviews from critics. Still, even if this was the case, "Jurassic World" topped the box office on its opening weekend, and just recently, the film surpassed "Avengers: Age of Ultron."
With this, fans are suggesting that it is only logical for the creators of the film to tap Pratt once again. Although "Jurassic World" is a story about dinosaurs coming to life, Pratt's contribution to the story was one of the reasons audiences enjoyed watching it.
Pratt also hinted on the possibility because when he was asked during a recent interview if he would be willing to return to the franchise, he said, "I am." The funny man added, "They have me for, I think, 38 movies or something."
Meanwhile, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Pratt talked about what it was really like working with Steven Spielberg. "Working with him and having him be a peer now is pretty remarkable. He is a guy who is an icon. I was never a film buff as a kid, but I knew who Steven Spielberg was. He was the first real celebrity director - like the director you would go see his movie because it was his movie," he said.
Pratt also revealed how he was finally asked to play the part on "Jurassic World." According to him, director Colin Trevorrow wanted him for the role because he believed it was fit for his personality and character.
"Jurassic World" is still showing in theaters across the globe.
