The original "Beverly Hills 90210" will be shown as a tell-all TV-movie series on Lifetime network. Ahead of its release, there are reports that the show will feature drama that took place within the first four seasons of the show.
According to Latin Post, the series will also feature a time wherein the show was almost cancelled. However, after several attempts at salvaging the show, "Beverly Hills 90210" was able to gain a huge following among audiences. In fact, the series eventually became one of the most successful and most popular TV series in the 1990s.
Fans are already looking forward to the tell-all especially since some of the cast members have always been vocal about their on-set fights and alleged relationships, according to US Weekly.
In a 2014 interview with Access Hollywood, Priestley revealed, "There were multiple engagements on the show, with multiple people. Nobody ever got attached to. We never let it get in the way of what we were doing."
Meanwhile, the new TV-movie series on Lifetime titled "The Unauthorized Beverly Hills 90210" will be executive produced by "Mean Girls 2" producer Peter Green and "Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B" producer Howard Braunstein. The series could be released sometime in 2016.
"Beverly Hills 90210" aired on Fox for 10 seasons between 1990 and 2000. The 1990s Fox drama starred Tori Spelling, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Luke Perry and Jason Priestley. Eight years later, the series got a spinoff on the CW titled "90210." The latter aired on the network for five seasons, from 2008 to 2013.
As of late, Lifetime has not yet released information on the show's filming details. The network is currently busy with the upcoming "Full House" reboot entitled "Fuller House."
