The long wait is over. Chevrolet finally shows off their newest 6th gen Camaro, which promises a higher performance level that will give you a faster and more nimble driving experience.
An all-new lineup of six power-train combinations of the 2016 Camaro complements the car's lighter, stronger structure. The new Camaro offers higher levels of performance, technology, and refinement and is designed to maintain a sporty car segment leadership.
Based on a report on Today's Motor Vehicles, General Motors executive vice president for product development Mark Reuss said that remodeling the Camaro gave both a thrilling and a challenging experience. The 2016 Camaro maintained its unique design and provides a maximum level of performance.
The vehicle's mass was reduced by 200 lb or more, depending on the model. The Camaro promises a 0-60mph acceleration performance in less than 6-second acceleration with its upgraded 2.0 L turbo, 275hp (205kW), and 295 lb-ft (400Nm).
On the design side, the new Camaro is more athletic looking with a sculptured exterior that complements the tighter, leaner architecture. According to media.gm.com news, there is also a greater emphasis on customer personalization with wider range of choices, including 10 exterior colors, five interior color combinations, lighting options, and a full complement of dealer-available accessories available at launch, including wheels, stripe packages, and additional accessories.
With its Drive Mode Selector, it will be easier to tailor its responsiveness to the situation, whether it's mundane commuting to work, tackling the twisty at weekends, or even lapping a road course. In a Today's Motor Vehicles report, it was quoted that "this drive mode selector launches up to eight vehicle attributes for their four models namely: Snow/Ice, Tour, Sport, and - on SS models- Track settings."
Aaron Link, the lead development engineer, assured clients that their driving moment will be definitely different, one that they have never experienced before.
It gives a promising feature in terms of its performance and design, which every rider would definitely love. The 6th gen 2016 Camaro will be available on the market later this year, presenting LT and SS models.
