Is Mario Finally Meeting Mickey Mouse? Possible says Disney Exec But Not For Now

Is Mario on his way to finally meet Mickey Mouse? This question was lingering for the longest time for fans of the two most iconic figures in history. CNet said that although Disney is in constant talks with Nintendo about a cross over, they have clarified that the meet up might take a while. Disney's Interactive Avalanche Software vice president and general manager John Blackburn said that the Mickey-Mario meet up might be far away from now, but it is possible. He even joked that the cross over will happen when Disney CEO Bob Iger will finally buy a Nintendo.

Nintendo also announced that Donkey Kong and Browser will be joining the upcoming Skylander Superchargers line up, an Activision franchise. With this development, it will not be a surprise that we will eventually see Mickey Mouse helping Mario save the princess.

The Nintendo - Skylander Supercharges cross over was made possible with Nintendo's Amiibo line that has so far one of the most successful venture of the game console giant in the past years.

Mynintendonews also reported on the thoughts of Disney's vice president John Vignocchi's on the possible iconic cross over. He said that he would love to see the cross over but nothing is in the table yet about the merge. But he also said that the possible meet up is not far away from happening nor it is impossible to happen.

Mario was first introduced in 1983. The plumber character was the brainchild of Shigeru Miyamoto. It was released for arcade and Nintendo's Family Computer. Mario is helped by his brother Luigi to rescue the princess from King Koopa. After its release, the Mario franchise gained popularity all over the world and produced a lot of off-game ventures such as merchandizes, TV shows, and movies among the few.

On the other hand, Mickey Mouse, as everyone knows, is the most popular mouse to ever grace the face of the Earth.
