'Thor 3 Ragnarok' News & Plot Spoilers: Loki to Die in New Film? Tom Hiddleston Teases Details Plus Info on His Other Movies, ‘Crimson Peak’ & ‘King Kong’

The latest installment in the popular Marvel movie "Thor" is set to hit theaters in 2017, but many speculations about the plot of the new film have been surfacing online. According to reports, a major character might die in the upcoming film and the events will affect other Marvel movies since their storylines are somehow connected. Meanwhile, Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki, has teased some details about "Thor 3." The actor is also currently busy with his other upcoming films, "Crimson Peak" and "King Kong."

Venture Capital Post reports that Loki may finally face his death in "Thor: Ragnarok." According to the report, if the Ragnarok Tale of Norse Mythology will be followed in the new movie, Loki will die in the hands of Heimdall, the guardian of Asgard played by Idris Elba. However, Christian Today cited another report stating that instead of Heimdall killing Loki, the villain Thanos might do it instead, which in turn will continue Loki's rivalry with Thor (Chris Hemsworth), which was established in the first film.

In line with the reports, Tom Hiddleston supposedly teased details about the upcoming film, saying, "'Thor 3' is happening some point and the last time we saw Loki, he was on the throne, so there's some questions to be answered."

In related news, Hiddleston is busy with his other films "Crimson Peak" and "King Kong." "Crimson Peak," Guillermo del Toro's horror/thriller film, has recently released its posters showing the inhabitants of the haunted house in the movie. The posters show each of the four major characters played by Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain, and Charlie Hunnam. According to Franchise Herald, Hiddleston's role was previously offered to and declined by another popular British actor, Benedict Cumberbatch, because of his busy schedule.

Hiddleston also talked about the prequel to "King Kong," which he is also a part of. Another Franchise Herald report quoted the actor as saying, "... [director] Jordan Vogt-Roberts has such an extraordinary vision. His story which I know he hasn't revealed to anyone yet is 'King Kong' you've never seen before and it's very ambitious and epic and fresh and new in his vision and design and the characters are amazing."

"Thor 3" is slated for release on Nov. 3, 2017 while "King Kong" will debut on March 10, 2017. "Crimson Peak" will hit theaters this year on October 16.
