Troubled former NBA superstar Gilbert Arenas was spotted smashing his car with a cinder block, TMZ reported. The video shows Arenas, in white shirt, throwing a huge cinder block at a black Mercedes sports car, which was later, confirmed that it was his own car that his longtime girlfriend Laura Govan has been driving. Arenas said that the act was somewhat of revenge because Govan ruined Arenas' Netflix account.
He said in a statement that he is just only showing Govan that he can break his stuff before she does after Govan broke 34 windows in their Calabasas home and threw his computer into the pool where Arenas' Netflix password is saved. Another thing that made him very upset is that his Netflix password was stored in his computer and there is no way for him to get to Netflix after his computer is soaked in water and is literally dead.
The former Wizards star added that Govan is only destroying his image to get full custody of their children. According to his statement, Govan also wants more than $244,000 support from him.
SB Nation on the other hand has also reported that Arenas is being sued by her girlfriend Govan because Agent Zero has allegedly evicted her from their Los Angeles mansion and forcibly took back the engagement ring Arenas gave her that is reportedly worth a million bucks.
Arenas' NBA career started to dwindle down in 2009 after it was revealed that Arenas was storing unloaded firearms inside his locker room. He was suspended without pay because of the violation on his 28th birthday in 2010. He was reinstated in the 2010-2011 season and changed his number from 0 to number 9 to forget the past and move forward.
However, upon his return, Arenas' level of playing was not the same, he performed way below his expected performance and was traded from team to team, season after season. By the end of the 2012 season, no NBA team signed him that made him move to the Chinese Basketball Association and played for a season with the Shanghai Sharks.
