The latest version of Guitar Hero from Activision allows gamers to perform in a concert in front of a live crowd and experience what it's like to be a real rock star.
As demonstrated in the E3 gaming conference, the latest version of the music game has level up the enjoyment and gaming experience of virtual virtuoso shredders by allowing them to play in front of a virtual crowd at the comfort of their homes, Mirror reports.
While the mechanics of the new game are essentially the same with the earlier version in which a player plays a guitar joystick by simultaneously hitting the six buttons on its fretboard which corresponds to the note shown on the on-screen action, Guitar Hero Live features playing on a stage with a virtual audience that interacts and reacts with the player.
If a gamer plays well, the crowd will adore you and will get wild. But if you play poorly, then the crowd will show disappointment and start to get irritated and annoyed. Some audience members will even try to hurling drinks at you.
The virtual audience actually looks real people.
Activision was able to develop this virtual crowd by filming real-life crowds with a green screen background for changing backdrops like adding more people or placing the crowd in different venues.
According to Gamespot, Guitar Hero Live will include new songs such as "The Lazy Song" by Bruno Mars, "American Idiot" by Green Day, "Lust for Life" by Iggy Pop, "Thunder Kiss '65" by White Zombie, "Freak on a Leash" by Korn, "Bulls on Parade" by Rage Against the Machine, "I Gotsta Get Paid" by ZZ Top, "Breaking the Law" by Judas Priest, and "Sounds Like Balloons" by Biffy Clyro, among others.
The new game will be launched on October 20, 2015.
