'Arrow' Season 4 Air Date, Spoilers & Cast: Will Oliver Return To Starling City? Why Thea Queen is the Real Hero

After the intriguing finale of Season 3, fans are now looking forward to an action-packed Season 4 of CW's series, "Arrow." After Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) left Starling City with Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), does this mean that the crime fighting will be left in the hands of his half-sister Thea (Willa Holland)?

In a recent fan question and answer session on Twitter by lead actor Stephen Amell, he was asked how he can describe Season 4 in four words. His answer was, "What's wrong, Speedy?" With that, fans are speculating that the fourth season will feature Oliver's half-sister Thea in more action-packed scenes.

International Business Times reported that Thea's nickname "Speedy" is denoted as her position as Arrow's sidekick in the comic book. Fans are thinking that Thea will be playing the crime fighter for a while before her brother comes back to the city. According to Catermatt, Thea already has her own costume and the combat skills to do her brother's job. She also has an attitude, which seems to be as sharp as her arrows.

Aside from Thea Queen, it was also reported that a lot of other characters will step up this season. According to Movie Pilot, Diggle, played by David Ramsey, confirmed that he will be getting a new look in Season 4, but he refused to confirm if he is going to get a new superhero identity. Aside from that, Sara Lance is also coming back to the series as White Canary. It seems like she will be a new addition to Team Arrow.

According to Cinema Blend, the show may also be adding a new villain this season. The showrunners are rumored to be looking for an actor to play the role of Simon, who is speculated to be Damien Darhk, Ra's al Ghul's former ally in the League of Assassins.

"Arrow" Season 4 air date is set this fall; however, CW has yet to reveal the exact date.
