Lego recently released a promotional poster for the upcoming film "LEGO Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and it looked similar to the original poster of Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill's film.
The poster featured images of two Lego miniature superheroes, one of which was dressed as Superman and the other was dressed as Batman. On their faces are their opposing symbols with the words, "Building 2016."
Just this month, Lego also confirmed that the superhero-inspired movie will be released sometime in 2016, after the release of Affleck and Cavill's collaboration, according to Toy News Online.
Meanwhile, according to VCPost, fans of the franchise are now looking forward to knowing what story the Lego-inspired superhero movie will tell. Some fans are speculating that the story may serve as a spinoff of the original film. Others are suggesting that both films could be different from one another.
The publication also suggested a possible plot for the upcoming movie and said that the producers should consider exploring the battle between the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel.
In other news, IGN noted how DC and Lego have been collaborating recently. Both companies previously worked together on including Batman in "The Lego Movie." Other DC superheroes that made a cameo in the film include Wonder Woman, Superman and Green Lantern.
Affleck and Cavill's "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice," meanwhile, is slated for release in 2017. As of late, the film is already in production and it stars Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Diane Lane as Martha Kent and more.
Some of the cast members will also take part in a panel interview at next month's Comic-Con. Eisenberg confirmed the news and said, "I'll be there. I think I'll be there for the hour I'm on stage."
