The cast and crew of "Outlander" are almost done filming for Season 2, which will take on Diana Gabaldon's second book, "Dragonfly in Amber." Scottish actor Sam Heughan teased that the upcoming season of the Starz time traveler series will be exciting but "very different."
"Outlander" recently wrapped up its record breaking Season 1 in the episode, which is titled, "To Ransom A Man's Soul." While details about its upcoming season are slowly being released to the public, most fans are still wondering what surprises are in store for them, as the Starz series takes on Diana Gabaldon's second book, "Dragonfly in Amber."
Scottish actor Sam Heughan, who plays Jamie Fraser in the time traveler series, revealed to The Wrap that he was "very excited" to come back on set and film with the rest of the cast.
"It feels like an old family and everyone's there, but it feels familiar, which is wonderful. But it's also different because the show has grown, we've moved locations, obviously, the story's moved to France," Heughan revealed.
The 35-year-old actor also teased that "Outlander" Season 2 will see the dynamics change, as Jamie tries to cope up following the agonizing torture inflicted by Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies) on him in the episode titled, "Wentworth Prison."
Heughan also teased that while he has no idea what will happen between Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie at the end of the season, fans of "Outlander" can expect that the events from Season 2 will be "very exciting," as it takes on a "completely different story."
Meanwhile, Daily Record reported that Heughan was recently spotted back in Glasgow to film more scenes for "Outlander" Season 2. Heughan and Balfe are back on set at the Glasgow Cathedral following their appearance at the Edinburgh Festival.
The Scottish actor also revealed that the cast and crew of "Outlander" are almost done filming scenes for Season 2.
"We're almost finished - we've been filming three episodes at the same time, the first three, so that's had its own difficulties, but it's been great. It's a very different world," he said.
