'Fear The Walking Dead' Trailer & Pilot Spoilers: New Teaser Is Absolutely Scary

Over the weekend, a new horrifying trailer of AMC's "The Walking Dead" spinoff series, "Fear The Walking Dead," was revealed. Earlier reports also revealed that the show will have a standalone story and will not be based on Robert Kirkman's comic books.

According to iSchool Guide, "Fear the Walking Dead" will not start during or after the zombie apocalypse and it would rather be some kind of a prequel. The story will take place during the earliest days of the zombie outbreak. In addition, it was reported that it is possible that the beginning of the series will focus on the characters slowly coming to terms with the situation that zombies will be taking over humanity.

In the short clip revealed over the weekend, it seems like there isn't walkers in it. It shows viewers the terror of seeing a zombie for the first time. In the clip, Nick, played by Frank Dillane, is seen running through an alleyway. Although it wasn't revealed in the clip why he was running so fast, fans speculate that he must be running away from something horrific as fear is seen all over his face.

According to International Business Times, it was recently revealed that Nick's character has been involved with some nasty practices and it is possible that he is running away from the consequences of such practices.

Inquisitr revealed that "Fear the Walking Dead" will show a group of individuals who are living in Los Angeles during the initial stages of the outbreak. It reported that the show will follow a character named Madison, played by Kim Dickens, who is a single mom with two children as she directs her family to safety through a zombie-infested world.

Other "Fear the Walking Dead" stars include Cliff Curtis as Travis, Elizabeth Rodriguez as Liza, Alycia Debnam-Carey as Alicia, Lorenzo James Henrie as Chris, Daniel, Lorenzo James Hen as Chris and the recent addition to the cast, Sandrine Holt as Dr. Bethany Exner.

"Fear the Walking Dead" is set to be aired on AMC in August.
