"Batman: Arkham Knight" will have a patch update once the video game is rolled out tomorrow, June 23, a report from Gamerant said on Monday. The "Batman: Arkham Knight" patch was reported to be 3.5 GB, which will be available on PS4. The patch is reportedly a required file to be downloaded by gamers before they can play "Batman: Arkham Knight" for the first time.
According to Gamerant, the day one patch aims to improve the game's performance and stability, which is a common goal of patch updates. Aside from that, the patch will likely feature the Rival Points system in "Batman: Arkham Knight" and possibly include a support file for free additional contents in the future. The classic Batman skin, which appears in the TV series, is reportedly included in the patch update.
Gamerant reports that the day one patch will possibly be available for PC and Xbox One. However, the report noted that it's also possible for the patch to be exclusive to PS4 only since the PC and Xbox One versions reportedly has less contents. Notably, the game's pre-loads were said to be already part of the in-game contents for the Xbox One version.
Meanwhile, Polygon reports that "Batman: Arkham Knight" has been earning positive reviews even though the video game isn't out yet until Tuesday. "I can see players just dipping in and out of this world forever, jumping in the Batmobile to chase down some criminals, visiting the villains in the lock-up at GCPD, gliding from an airship onto the LexCorp building. According to Polygon, Rocksteady, the game developer of "Batman: Arkham Knight," has made a comprehensive approach in the video game series, which is "the best game of this console generation." The report also noted that the Xbox One and PC versions of the game will have a similar patch update with that of the PS4, with the same Rival Points feature, skins and other free downloadable contents.
