It has finally been confirmed that Julia Stiles will reprise her role as Nicky Parsons in the fifth movie of the Bourne series, alongside lead character Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass.
The 34-year-old actress, who has participated in the Bourne novel movie renditions, has finally been confirmed to join them yet again. For the first three movies of the sequel, she has retained her role as Nicky Parsons, the CIA operative who worked with Jason Bourne during the covert Treadstone operation. According to RTE, Stiles has been absent in the fourth movie of the series 'Bourne Legacy,' which was released in theaters in 2012.
Matt Damon, on the other hand, also was absent during the fourth movie, which was led by Jeremy Renner, who played as Black ops agent Aaron Cross. But now Damon has decided to reprise his role for the fifth movie installment with Stiles. Damon and director Paul Greengrass are combining their efforts in formulating a thrilling screenplay and script for the fifth movie, along with Christopher Rouse, who also worked with them as an editor during the second and third movies of the franchise.
According to Empire Online, another actress is set to join the cast. Alicia Vikander, who played the leading lady in the movie 'The Seventh Son,' was also sought to play a role in the fifth Bourne movie. However, no reports indicate that she has confirmed her participation yet.
