'X-Men Apocalypse' Movie Cast Update: Wolverine to Return?

Good news to Marvel fans! Wolverine will reportedly return to "X-Men Apocalypse."

Comicbook has released the most detailed description of the upcoming "X-Men movie." The description cited the film's confirmed cast members, which include Jennifer Lawrence, Channing Tatum, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Hugh Jackman, Rose Byrne, Nicholas Hoult, Olivia Munn, Sophie Turner, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Alexandra Shipp, Tye Sheridan and Oscar Isaac.

Though Hugh Jackman, who plays Wolverine, is not included in the list, four weeks ago, Kika NY, a custom leather goods company based in Brooklyn, New York, confirmed that Hugh Jackman will be indeed be in "X-Men Apocalypse" through a post on their Instagram page: "We were just asked to make a special duffle backpack for Hugh Jackman who is filming the new X-Men movie in Montreal."

Cinemablend also cited that the custom duffel bag is for Jackman's personal use and for Wolverine, who will appear in the film. However, Marvel has yet to issue an official statement regarding the news.

Meanwhile, Channing Tatum, who will play Gambit, recently confirmed that he will not be in "X-Men: Apocalypse." According to a separate Cinemablend report, Tatum was asked in a Reddit AMA chat if he will appear in the "X-Men" movie, to which the actor replied, "No ma'am, or sir. I definitely will not."

According to the comics, Apocalypse enjoys transforming powerful mutants into his Four Horsemen: War, Famine, Pestilence and Death. At one point, he had Wolverine become one of his agents: Death. Since Fox reportedly has been trying to keep Jackman's involvement in the film under wraps, there is a good possibility that fans will see the X-Men fighting an evil and even more powerful Logan, according to reports.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is set for release on May 27, 2016, followed by "The Wolverine 3" which is slated for release on March 3, 2017.
