Tyler Perry Net Worth: Actor's Home in Atlanta for Sale

Tyler Perry, after completing the second season of "If Loving You Is Wrong" on OWN, has made another decision regarding his personal life. According to a report from zillow.com, the writer-producer-director-actor is selling his Atlanta estate for a whopping $25 million.

The report, which quotes a news item from Variety, said that the mega mansion measures 34,688 square feet and is located on 17 acres of woodlands near the Chattahoochee River. Among the property's amenities are infinity edge pools similar to California's Hearst Castle and marble arches reminiscent of the show "Game of Thrones."

The marble arches guide guests to the rooms in the mansion, which include a home theater as well as the grand foyer and great room. Other features are an underground ballroom with an attached catering kitchen, a suite for caretakers and help, a hobby house, a fully equipped gym and lighted tennis court. The are seven bedrooms and eleven and a half baths in the property.

In addition, wtsp.com reported that the home has its own power generator, guard house as well as a Presidential level security system.

The sale is just a stepping stone for Perry, who reportedly has a bigger goal in mind. According to a report from inquisitor.com, which quotes the Wall Street Journal, Perry is eyeing to purchase Fort McPherson, the 475-acre former Army base located in Atlanta. He plans to rebuild on the property and turn it into a movie studio. The other areas would reportedly be developed into a shopping area, office building as well as housing. The price for the whole property is at $75 million, and the proceeds of the sale of Perry's former home would be used to invest in the redevelopment of Fort McPherson.

With a reported net worth of $400 million, according to celebritynetworth.com, funding the purchase of the fort would not be a problem for Perry. His plans are big but they are all within reach.
