Tweets from reliable tech tipster, @OnLeaks, reportedly reveal that tech giant Samsung has not learned anything from its previously released phones. This week's Galaxy S6 Edge Plus rumours state that the company's new phone will be a super-sized version of its now-flagship phone.
Additionally, it looks like the tech giant will stray far from its traditional design principles as the tweeted images reveal dimensions of 75.80mm x 154.45mm x 6.85mm. This dimension detail points to a rather larger display size within the range of 5.5 to 5.7 inches, as what some rumours peg it to be. However, it's still unclear whether or not the Samsung Galaxy S6 Plus will sport the USB Type-C port.
Techradar thinks that the latest offering of Samsung will feature a Snapdragon 808 CPU instead of the Exynos 7420 CPU that was present in the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. It is reportedly a let-down as compared to the expected Snapdragon 810.
Moreover, Samsung's returning partnership with an external supplier of chipsets will mean an addition to the price of the handset. Reportedly though, the partnership is an interesting one as the current Galaxy S6 lineup is the very first time the company has supplied phones with its very own Exynos chipsets.
Rumour has it that the new device will run on Android 5.1.1 and will be released sometime in July, August, or September this year. With the possible release date nearing, it won't be too long before fans get an official word from Samsung regarding the new device.
