'Orphan Black' Season 3 Finale: Fans Still Cannot Believe What Happened

Orphan Black, the Canadian science fiction television series produced by Temple Street Productions, just finished its complete season 3 last week and the finale came as a shock to the show's followers. Masterherald.com has the overview of what happened.

The show, which is basically about one woman and her many clones, is starred by Tatiana Maslany (plays a number of clones). It touches on the ethical and moral implications of human cloning and its effect on issues of personal identity.

What a season ender for fans, as there have been plenty of deaths and plot twists than they can handle. Dead characters were already something fans are used to see considering that castor clones have been dying off all season long. The Neolutionists are also back, and they are back in a big way. While Cosima is still nowhere to be found, the Clone Club is putting pressure on Sarah to make "uneasy alliances".

The last episode's highlight was the shooting of Delphine in the chest. Fans are left hanging as there was no way of telling whether she makes it alive. It's the perfect season ender to get everyone look forward to the next season. But so far, there were characters that came back after being shot and this keeps fans hopeful.

During an interview, John Fawcett, the show's co-creator, commented on the gun shot wound to the chest, christianpost.com reports.

"For us, I believe this is a horrible thing that had to happen. And I know that it's hard and I know that it's emotional and I know there are going to be a lot of people out there going 'WHY?!?' But trust me, this was a necessary move to make. And its necessary in Cosima's story and it's necessary going forward in subsequent seasons-in season 4 and season 5," he told Entertainment Weekly about the issue. It's a "tragic love story" overall, so he advise fans to prepare for the worst for Delphine's character.

There is no way of telling who pulled the trigger, and Fawcett is not giving a single clue for good reason. Rudy's death was something he believed had to happen, they just had to do it differently, and having Helena do it was the perfect plot.

Filming for the 4th season is set to happen by end of this year, and if the plan is followed, fans can expect to catch their favorite show on air again in April.
