'Warcraft' Movie Cast, News & Plot: Film to Have a Sequel?

The movie version of the famous video game is yet to be released in 2016, but the "Warcaft" director Duncan Jones is already hinting a sequel for the film. According to Movie News Guide, the director expressed his hopes of doing more sequels for the movie in the future.

One of the most popular video games to date, "Warcraft" has a lot of fans excited for the movie adaptation and a possible movie franchise in the future. Jones, who has already established his name in the industry with movies such as "Moon" and "Source Code," hopes that the movie will have positive reviews not just from video game fans but also a broad range of audience.

It was previously revealed that the upcoming "Warcraft" movie will be a battle between the humans and orcs since this was the concept of the first "Warcraft" game. The director revealed that the inspiration for the Orcs in the movie is The Hulk from "The Avengers." He said that the Orcs may have the same genetic background as the famous character.

According to Wired, the original developer of the game, Blizzard, created the concept art for the film. According to Jones, they have worked closely with Blizzard on the visualization of the characters and tried to be as honest as possible.

The upcoming epic fantasy film is set in the world of Azeroth. It was first announced as a project partnership with Legendary Pictures in 2006. The filming of the movie began in January 2014 and ended in May of the same year. It is scheduled to be released by Universal Pictures on June 10, 2016.

Jones worked with Charles Leavitt who co-wrote the screenplay. The cast members include Ben Foster, Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Dominic Cooper, Toby Kebbell, and Rob Kazinsky.
