'Project Cars 2' Release Date & Gameplay: Slightly Mad Studios to Release Sequel for PS4, Xbox One, PC & Steam

Game developer Slightly Mad Studios has announced on Tuesday that the company is currently working on "Project Cars 2," IGN reports. "Project Cars 2" will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Steam OS; however, Slightly Mad Studios did not disclose any detail yet regarding its release date.

According to a related report from VG247, "Project Cars 2" gaming features are as follows:

---The Largest Track Roster Ever - The game features 50 unique locations and over 200 courses including "loose surface racing" on dirt, gravel, mud, and snow. All of these will have dynamic time of day and weather, allowing gamers to play any time, anywhere.

---The Widest Variety of Motorsports - There are now eight different disciplines, including Rallycross, Hillclimbs, and Touge. Over 200 cars from over 40 different vehicle classes including never-before-seen Concepts and Banned Race Cars are also available.

----Co-op Career - Gamers can play as the Teammate Driver, Spotter, Driver Swap, or Co-Pilot. The game also offers more choices, more opportunities, more strategy, greater risks and greater rewards.

----Seamlessly Connected - In the game, players get to socialize and compete via Online Track Days. Players from around the world take the place of AI-controlled drivers in solo play, and gamers get news updates on the Driver Network

----Pro Esports Racing - The game features skill & behavioural-based matchmaking, players' own Online Racing Leagues, Live Broadcast and Spectator functionality.

-----Player's Home for Racing - Players get their personal, customisable Test Track to tune and test cars. They can also invite others and learn race craft and engineering with the Project CARS Academy.

According to IGN, "Project Cars 2" will be tested, approved and created via the World Mass Development, a crowdfunding platform. In the "Project Cars 2" WMDC portal, players from across the globe are invited to participate in the ongoing development of the game. Players are tasked to participate in the whole process by developing builds and voting on key decisions that will help shape and develop the racing title.
