Walt Weiss Salary: Rockies Manager Lists Florida Home

Walt Weiss, the current manager of MLB team Colorado Rockies, has placed his beachfront home in Captiva, Florida in the buyer's market. According to a report from realtor.com, the home is listed for $2.2 million.

Weiss' home measures 1,680 square feet and has a lot to offer its new owners. The home is designed specifically for the South Florida sunny weather with a living room with large windows to let the sunlight in. It also has a fireplace to keep the room cozy. All bedrooms and bathrooms have skylights, and the stately dining room has wall-to-wall sliding doors made entirely of glass. All in all, the design allows for the sun to come in and provides great views of the Gulf of Mexico, white sands and palm trees.

The second floor houses the master's suite with a beachfront chic theme characterized by white wainscoting, sky blue walls and hardwood floors. Like in other areas of the home, there are sliding glass doors, which lead to a viewing deck facing the ocean. With its location, the home has access to many outdoor amenities such as a swimming pool, barbecue pits, tennis courts and a private sandy path to the public beach.

Weiss is no stranger to home selling. Back in 2012, according to a report from professionalathletehomes.com, the former 1988 MLB Rookie of the Year placed his sprawling 73-acre estate for $3.5 million in the market. The home, as quoted from Realtor.com, measures 10,688 square feet and is specifically designed with the baseball fan in mind. It has six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, seven-car garage and three separate fireplaces.

According to PointAfter, Weiss has made over $19 million in salary throughout his career.
