For some hardcore Xbox gamers, the Microsoft's Xbox Elite Wireless Controller could be the best gaming console controller available today. With its unique features such as the controller's high-end gaming mouse, easy customizations and replacable and removable parts, the Microsoft Xbox Elite Wireless Controller is reportedly the perfect controller albeit the hefty price of $150.
According to PC Gamer, the Razer Ourobos mouse is what makes the Microsoft Xbox Elite Wireless Controller truly unique. The high-end mouse was reported to be the most advanced. There's a configurable sensor integrated in the controller, and it sports a new 8200dpi 4G laser sensor as well. The controller's new silver D-pad provides gamers freedom to do circular motions while playing video games.
The report added that the controller's main trigger buttons can be customized according to the player's preferences, since these buttons can be set individually by using sliders found underside of the controller. Players can use the button normally with a long and short pull, which allows the players to control the speed or fire faster.
The Microsoft's Xbox Elite Wireless Controller thumbstick shafts, paddles and D-pads are made of stainless steel, which is built to be shock-proof, stable and durable. Players will reportedly have a feel of its stability when using the rubberized diamond grip. The grip, according to Microsoft, allows the players to hold the Microsoft Xbox Elite Wireless Controller without exerting more effort so that they can play comfortably.
CNET reports that the Microsoft Xbox Elite Wireless Controller has a design patterned from Control S. It cited specifically the left and right analog sticks and triggers, the control pad, and the face buttons, which are reportedly placed exactly on the same spots as the Control S device.
However, CNET described the Microsoft Xbox Elite Wireless Controller as "one of the best wireless controllers ever in terms of design and performance" and concluded that although the device is expensive, the controller delivers in terms of comfort, superb wireless capability and gaming performance.
