Sad news for Marvel fans: it seems "Iron Man 4" movie will not see the light of day anytime soon. However, the good news is Marvel has decided to relaunch the "Iron Man" comic series to appease fans, and the comic will reportedly feature the superhero building a new kind of world, Master Herald reports.
According to ComicBook, Marvel Comics has revealed that Brian Michael Bendis and David Marquez will be in charge of the new comic series, and they will reportedly turn Iron Man into "All-New, All-Different Marvel" this fall. Bendis also revealed their task during a panel at the Special Edition NYC convention.
"We're tasked with taking the crown jewel of the Disney/Marvel empire. We're doing a new armor, a new girlfriend, and we will find out who Tony Stark's birth parents are. His new armor will turn into any of his 30 armors on the fly, so he can alter it to do whatever he needs at the moment," Bendis said. Bendis also added that Tony Stark needs more villains as well as friends who are not Avengers.
With regards to "Iron Man 4," Master Herald reports that Marvel won't give any official statement about the movie until the studio completes the filming of the two-part "Avengers 3" movie in 2017.
Master Herald added that Marvel Studios and Robert Downey Jr. are in a "stalemate" for "Iron Man 4" negotiations. Previous reports say that this is due to the actor requesting a higher pay from what he received from the first "Avengers" film and "Iron Man 3." However, the actor will still be seen in other Marvel movies such as "Captain America: Civil War," where he will reportedly receive $50 million as talent fee.
