Supermodels Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid were once best friends, but now it seems that the two are being pitted against one another. Just recently, there were reports that Hadid found herself in the middle of Taylor Swift and Jenner's misunderstanding and it seems that she's been hanging out with the former more.
Upon learning this, fans immediately assumed that there is indeed a rift between Jenner and Hadid and now, the latter is finally opening up about what's really happening in their circle. In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, Hadid slammed rumors that her relationship with the reality TV star has been affected especially since they are both part of the same industry.
"I don't really feel competition like that. Especially in a job like this - we look different, like Hailey Baldwin is brunette now. So literally, if they wanted Kendall, they're not going to want someone who looks like me. It's completely different. I think friendships are a lot more valuable than one job. If you're going to let it ruin that, then that's stupid," she explained.
Meanwhile, also during the same interview, Hadid talked about how important it is for her to become a role model to all of her fans. According to the 20-year-old, she tries her best to practice anything that she preaches, KPopStarz reported.
"My biggest thing about being a role model is whatever I'm preaching, I'm practicing. If I'm telling people I'm boxing and then I'm eating burger tonight, it's because I am. I'm not cheating and eating a salad and then being like, 'Yeah! Burgers are cool!" she said.
Hadid also said that it's important to tell fans what's really going on in her life. This way, they would know that she's genuine. "Just do what you're telling your fans you're doing because you have to be real with them because they look up to you," she concluded.
