Whoopi Goldberg Net Worth: 'The View' Host Sells Berkeley Victorian Home

Whoopi Goldberg has a varied liking to the properties she buys and then sells. According to a report from zillow.com, after two previous sales, she is now putting up the for sale sign in front of her Berkeley, California Victorian property.

"The View" co-host had listed the 1890 vintage property for $1.275 million. The property is on a double lot in a land area measuring one third of an acre. Included are the main house, a barn/cottage, five garages as well as the beautiful outdoor of the property.

The main house has three bedrooms and one and a half bathroom. The design is comfortable and subdued, where much of the interiors retained the original design, such as the woodwork, hardware, the library ladder and a lot of bookshelves. Most of the furnishings were also of the vintage era.

The barn/cottage is a wide open wooden space with vintage charm, including two fireplaces and skylights for natural sunlight. This though is not for living space, according to a report from sf.curbed.com. The star of the property is reportedly the outdoors, which makes the house best suited for the area's climate. The front porch is well-covered by landscaping and the brick patio is perfect for alfresco dining for the family.

According to a report from berkeleyside.com, the address of the property is 2212 McKinley Ave., near Bancroft Ave. The property is listed under Thornwall Properties.

There is no indication of Goldberg residing in the property. After she purchased the property in 1985, her career was at an upswing, starting in "The Color Purple" and later that year, "Sister Act." From her humble beginnings as a member of the avant-garde theater group, The Blake Street Hawkeyes, she appeared in a number of hit movies. According to celebritynetworth.com, Goldberg makes $5 million a year and has a total net worth of $45 million.
