Huawei Honor 7 Release Date, Specs & Price Leaked

Chinese telecom giant Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd is gearing up to release a new flagship smartphone called Honor 7. The new Huawei smartphone will be officially released on June 30, a report from iDigitalTimes said on Monday. Honor 7's release date was revealed after a post from Huawei's social media account in Weibo contained what appears to be the leaked device.

iDigitalTimes says that the leaked Honor 7 photo serves as an official invitation to the event launch, which earlier confirmed the speculations that Huawei Honor 7 will sport a fingerprint scanner on its back.

According to Christian Today, Huawei Honor 7 will have a five-inch IPS LCD display. The LCD will sport a 1080 x 1920 resolution, which will give mobile users a wider view and crisp display of graphics while using the device. Honor 7 will reportedly be powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop mobile operating system and HiSilicon Kirin 935 processor, a mobile chipset developed by Huawei.

Honor 7 was also reported to sport a 3 GB and 4 GB of Random Access Memory (RAM) with a 16 GB and 64 GB internal storage capacity. In terms of Honor 7's camera, the rear shooter will reportedly have 13 MP with an optical image stabilization feature. There's also a non-removable 3280 mAh battery, which is said to provide a longer battery life. Honor 7 will be available in three various colors: gold, white and black. The device will reportedly have a metal body.

In terms of price, according to reports, the device will be sold for $322. iDigitalTimes added that Huawei is planning to release a higher version of Honor 7, which will have more storage capacity and higher memory for a price of $435. The higher-end version of Honor 7 is reportedly slated to be released in July.
