"Gotham," the story of the young Batman, has already wrapped up its first season, and now fans are already eagerly waiting for Season 2. The Fox action series tells the tale of Bruce Wayne who lost his parents and was forced to grow up in a town called Gotham.
"Gotham" Season 2 will reportedly dig deeper into the mythology that surrounds Batman (David Mazouz) and continue to proceed with its exploration of crime and transformation. In Season 2, the expansion of Wayne's universe will also become apparent as new criminals are introduced like Dr. Victor Fries, also known as Mr. Freeze, and a "pre-embryonic" Joker. According to Latin Post, the beginning of the season will reveal the origin of the Joker.
Season 2 will also be shaken up with two recurring guest stars who will become regulars of the show. According to Fashion Style, Dr. Thompkins, played by Morena Baccarin, and Harvey Dent, played by Nicholas D'Agosto, will become regulars in the series after their performance in Season 1.
It was also revealed recently that the series is casting two new villains, one male and one female. It was reported that the new male villain will not just be intelligent and cultured but also extremely attractive and threatening. The female villain, on the other hand, is described as "a sexy knock-out."
It was also confirmed that creators are casting for the villain Amygdala, who will also be featured in Season 2. According to reports, Amygdala is a large hulk-like man in his 30's with a shaven head. In addition, this character of pure strength may not have the brains but he will reportedly cause some trouble in Gotham city.
As of writing, there is still no news when these new villains will exactly appear in the series. "Gotham" Season 2 is set to return on Fox this fall.
