John Lennon Rare Drawing Records 'UFO Sighting' of the Beatles Frontman

A rare sketch believed to be drawn by John Lennon shows the Beatles front man's encounter with aliens in New York.

UFO investigator, Russ Kellett bought the sketch supposedly by Lennon showing his UFO drawing according to the Daily Post.

In Lennon's alleged drawing which is set in New York City as indicated by "e side NYC", the musician (indicated by me), wearing a long hair and somewhat naked is pointing to what appears to be a flying saucer in new York.

The sketch marks the flying saucer as UFO with "red lights" and "white lights".

In a related report by Mirror, Lennon was accompanied by his former girlfriend May Pang. He was standing on the balcony of his apartment when they saw the flying saucer hovering silently over them.

Incidentally, the year 1974 indicated in the sketch when Lennon saw the UFO coincided with the year Kellet was investigating the UFO Berwyn Mountains incident in North Wales.

Lennon have written his alleged extraterrestrial encounter in his song "Nobody Told Me" as reflected in the lyric "There's a UFO over New York and I ain't too surprised."

The song "Nobody Told Me" was the first single from Lennon and Ono's album "Milk and Honey" which was released in 1984. However, Lennon has earlier made reference of this UFO sighting in the liner notes to his 1974 album, "Walls and Bridges" with the message: "On the 23rd August 1974 at 9 o'clock I saw a U.F.O. - J.L.".

Incidentally, the date and time in the liner notes coincided with the dates and time written on the sketch.

Meanwhile, Mr Kellett, who is both an avid Beatles fan and UFO material collector has hit two birds in one stroke with this latest find.

The memorabilia allowed him to share and keep the extra terrestrial experience of his idol.
